Happy Easter, my friends!
As for me, I’m not a Christian, but I respect all traditions of any religion that don’t harm others. Me myself prefer paganism and cults of nature, so in this time of the year I celebrate Ostara (or Ēostre).
One of two dates in the year, when the day have the same length as the night. After it days will become longer and longer, and everything on the Earth will resurrect after deep sleep. New period of life starts. Spring finally begins: indeed, not according to the calendar only. By the way, eggs and Easter Bunny Christians borrowed from this tradition, when they started to kill all those who didn’t want to accept their religion and realized that soon probably nobody’s left, they used a smarter way of manipulation and involved pagans traditions in theirs cult. Eggs and rabbits were symbols of the goddess Ostara.
Anyway, everything mixed now: races, religions, traditions, cults, and the only thing is important, that this celebrations make us happy. I hope you are having a good time with people close to you during this holidays. Be happy, laugh, have fun! And my congratulations: Spring is here!
P.S. And I want you to think a little bit about the ‘under meaning’ of this celebration. When you are sad, depressed, disappointed or whatever, remembering Ostara: winter is not eternal. Spring always comes back.
Be blessed ❤️
